Pattern Analysis
Do you remember all of your break point opportunities over the last six months? Us neither!
Competitive juniors often lose tight matches because of patterns that they're not aware of. This could be a serving pattern that minimizes their strengths or consistently hitting low percentage rally-balls at 30-30. These patterns are invisible when you're watching. But they're undeniable in the data.
With 10-15 matches, we can confidently identify the 2-3 patterns costing you the most points. After 20+ matches, we can start to answer what-if questions.
Competitive Benchmarking
Ever compare your first serve percentage to the pros? Why?!?
If you're trying to get from a UTR 9.5 to 10, benchmarks from the pro game don't tell you where you are actually ahead or behind in developing your game. Maybe your return percentage is in the top 25% at your level, but your second serves are in the lowest 10% (and neither is anywhere near the professional level)--now you know for sure what to spend your training time on.
Using match analysis from hundreds of players at different UTR levels, we can confirm where focusing your efforts will give you the most bang for your buck.
Measuring Progress
How can you be sure you're moving the needle on a shot you only take 5 times per match?
Once you and your coach identify the areas where you want to see improvement, we set up a Key Performance Indicator dashboard to track those shots. If you decide you need to focus on second serve returns, we might track your return speed, contact height, and percent of balls returned deep.
Over the next 10 matches, you can watch your progress paying off even before it starts affecting the score line.
